Welcome to Basics! The "21 Things" are technology skills to help you do better in school, in jobs, and be smarter about tech things in life.In this "Thing" you are going to learn about some basic and more advanced technology skills to help you as you progress through the "Things" and in your future.Earning badges can be a lot of fun. You can earn them as you go through the Quests and complete the activities.Basics has eight Quests plus some Bonus "Gold" or optional Quests. Each are listed below with short descriptions of what you will be learning in each one.

2. understand how decisions you make affect your future, including: cost of living, budgeting, wants vs. needs, financial planning, career goals, and the value of higher education.
3. meet national technology standards for Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making
4. create a digital portfolio that includes employability documents, video, and multimedia

Buying and selling on the Internet has changed the way we live. We can now perform a web search to locate, compare, and buy goods and services. You are going to investigate e-commerce as a consumer and learn some tips on how to shop online, avoid Internet fraud, and benefit from reviews and ratings.
